The Nature of Fiction
"Eoni's Blog" is what I call "Blog Cosplay." It is stepping into the character and communicating as the character. That is, of course, part of my mechanism for writing fiction. It is not meant to stand among those who are writing and podcasting about real encounters with alien intelligences. The intention is to normalize this type of communication for when it is allowed to openly manifest.
This brings to mind the War of the Worlds radio broadcast of 1938, where people were put into a panic because they thought it was a real invasion. The intention there was entertainment but was misunderstood. In our world today it may be increasingly diffcult to tell fact from fiction where we have political figures claiming things occuring that were consistantly proven false. The intention there is clear, to obfuscate and take advantage of that.
That's not what I'm about . In no way does this make-believe encounter take away from the reporting of actual alien encounters. And it shouldn't. I hope to continue "Eoni's Blog" in the spirit of fun and thoughtfullness and the understanding that All is One.
